Location : Ethiopia, Chelbesa Village Process : Red Honey Variety : Heirloom Roast level : Medium Altitude : 2050 Roast date : 19/01/2026 About this coffee In 2019, SNAP Specialty Coffee established a wet mill in a small enclave called Danache, nestled within the forested landscape of Chelbesa Village, to process coffee from 476 nearby smallholder farmers. After hand-harvested ripe cherries were sorted by flotation to ensure quality and density, the outer skin and roughly half of the mucilage were removed. The coffee was then dried on raised beds under partial shade with some mucilage still attached, before being hulled and stored for export.
